One of our favourites and multipurpose essential oils- rosehip oil can be used in so many different ways, we cannot even begin to tell. It’s a great non-comedogenic and anti-ageing oil and keeps your skin and hair healthy. Below are our 10 best ways to use rosehip oil-
In a dropper bottle, add 1 tablespoon rosehip oil, 1 tablespoon jojoba oil and 2 vitamin E capsules. Shake it well and use it as a facial oil before bedtime. Great for acne, rejuvenation, anti-ageing effects.
In a dropper or pump bottle, combine 2 tablespoon rosehip oil and 1 tablespoon grapeseed oil. Shake well and use a few drops to massage on towel-dried hair. Prevents frizziness and splits, makes hair soft and add shine.
ANTI-ACNE SKIN GEL
In a bowl, add 2 tablespoons commercial organic aloe vera gel followed by 1 tablespoon rosehip oil and 5 drops tea tree oil. Mix until it emulsifies and transfer to an easy-to-use jar. Use it on cleansed and toned skin before bedtime. Helps calm down acne and prevent future breakouts too that haven’t surfaced yet.
ACNE SPOT TREATMENT
In a jar, add 1/3 cup rosehip oil and add in 2 tablespoons cinnamon powder. Infuse it for 2 weeks and strain. Alternatively, you can combine 2 tablespoons rosehip oil and 10 drops cinnamon oil and store in a dropper bottle. Use it as a spot treatment with Q-tips before bedtime. Helps calm down acne and heal it.
PRE-SHAMPOO HAIR MASSAGE
Combine ½ cup warm coconut oil or clarified butter and 2 tablespoons rosehip oil. Mix well and use it to massage scalp and hair. Wear a shower cap and let it work for 2 hours before you wash your hair. Makes hair frizz-free, manageable, adds shine and thickens hair gradually.
SKIN MASSAGING OIL
Combine equal quantities of rosehip oil and castor oil and use it as a facial massaging oil. Improves circulation, has anti-ageing effects, adds a visible glow.
In a bowl, add 1 tablespoon melted shea butter and 1 teaspoon rosehip oil. Whip both the ingredients and tore ibn an easy-to-use container. Massage it under the eyes before bedtime. Prevents early fine lines and keeps the area moisturized.
In a bowl, add 2 tablespoons raw honey and 1 teaspoon rosehip oil. Mix and apply on facial skin and let it work for 30 minutes before washing off. Hydrates skin, prevents early fine lines, prevents acne and adds glow.
Combine 1/3 cup hemp seed oil and 2 tablespoons rosehip oil. Transfer to a pump bottle and your oil cleanser is ready! Use a pump to massage your facial skin and remove all dirt and makeup followed by using a foaming cleanser. Cleanses pores and keeps skin clear and soft.
In a roller bottle, add 1 tablespoon rose oil, 5 drops cinnamon oil and 1 teaspoon rosehip oil. Shake and use it on your lips throughout the day, under lipstick and before bedtime. Keeps lips soft and plump.
